OUR CHILD SAFETY COMMITMENT · CRANBOURNE NORTH
Safe connections.
Confident beginnings.
Every child deserves to feel safe, heard and valued. At Kidz R Kidz Early Learning Centre & Kindergarten, protecting children’s wellbeing is at the heart of the relationships we build with your family.
Our Child Safety Commitment
Choosing care means placing your trust in people. As a family owned and operated, 47-place centre in Cranbourne North, we want that trust to grow through warm relationships, open conversations and a shared focus on every child’s wellbeing.
We have zero tolerance for child abuse. We are committed to preventing harm, listening to children and families, and responding to concerns with care and appropriate action. Our commitment is guided by the Victorian Child Safe Standards.
What safe connections mean for your child
Safety is physical, emotional and cultural. It means feeling protected, being treated with dignity, and knowing there is a trusted adult ready to listen.
A voice, at every age
Children communicate through words, play, expressions and behaviour. Our commitment is to listen, notice when something feels different, and help children express their needs, feelings and boundaries in ways that suit their age and development.
Belonging without barriers
Every child deserves respect. We are committed to cultural safety for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, and to welcoming each family’s culture, language, identity and abilities. Inclusion means listening to what helps your child feel secure and involved.
People who put children first
Child-safe recruitment, appropriate screening, professional boundaries and ongoing learning are central to our commitment. Families are welcome to ask us about educator suitability, child protection training and the expectations we set for adults working with children.
Careful, everyday attention
Safety belongs in everyday decisions: supervision, routines, learning spaces and transitions. Talk with us about your child’s health needs, allergies, authorised collection arrangements and any changes that may affect their wellbeing.
Privacy and digital care
Children’s privacy matters as much as the moments we share. Speak with our team about photography permissions, how images and information are handled, and our current device and digital safety policies.
Families as partners
You know your child best. Share what comforts them, what worries them and what has changed at home. We welcome questions and feedback, and are committed to taking concerns seriously and using them to improve.
Something doesn’t feel right? Tell us.
You do not need to have all the answers before raising a concern. Whether it relates to your own child, another child, an adult’s behaviour or something you have noticed, please speak up.
1. Speak with our Centre Manager.
Ask for a private conversation in person or call 03 5991 4997. If your concern involves the Centre Manager, ask to speak directly with our owners, Sharokh or Anvi.
2. Share what you have noticed.
You can also email kidzrkidz@outlook.com.au to request a confidential conversation. Please avoid sending sensitive information or identifying details about children by ordinary email.
3. We will listen and explain the next steps.
Our commitment is to take concerns seriously, handle information sensitively and share it only where needed to protect children and meet reporting obligations. You can ask how your concern will be followed up.
If a child is in immediate danger, call Triple Zero (000). Do not wait for a reply from the centre. You can raise concerns directly with the relevant authorities without speaking to us first.
For independent guidance, visit the Victorian Early Childhood Regulatory Authority. For concerns about a child’s protection, see Victorian Child Protection information.
Questions are always welcome
Can I read your child safety policies?
Please ask our Centre Manager for our current child safety, child protection, complaints and digital safety policies, and our code of conduct. We can talk through how these apply to your child’s day.
How can I help my child speak up?
Let your child know their feelings matter and they can tell a trusted adult if something worries them. Share with us how your child communicates discomfort, particularly if they are not yet using words.
Where can I learn about the Victorian standards?
The Victorian Government’s Child Safe Standards guidance for early childhood services explains the framework, including children’s participation, cultural safety, family involvement and child-focused complaints.
Let’s talk about what matters to your family.
Visit our Cranbourne North centre, meet the team and ask the questions that help you feel comfortable about your child’s care.
